Short Description:

The oyster mushroom, with the Latin name Pleurotus ostreatus, is a common edible mushroom and is now grown commercially around the world for food. It could be used for soups, salads, sauses etc, and it’s taste has been described as mild with a slight odor similar to anise. in Japanese, Korean and Chinese cuisine, it is a delicacy that frequently served on its own, in soups, stuffed, or in stir-fry recipes with soy sauce, and in some European countries like Germany, Poland and Czech, it is used in soups and stews in a similar fashion to meat. The oyster mushroom is the best when picked young; as the mushroom growing bigger and bigger, the flesh becomes tough and the flavor becomes acrid and unpleasant. Besides, the best way to store fresh oyster is to cover them in plastic bags and put them in fridge. In this way, it could be kept up to one week.
